A camp is a representation of the logistical element of an army. In a game of Triumph! each army must have a camp represented on the battlefield; it is possible (depending upon the flow of battle) for it to be captured (sacked) by the enemy, which event has a strong impact on victory conditions. This website is a discussion of making camps for wargaming in Triumph! See links below for the Triumph! rules and the Meshwesh online army lists for the game.
In the subpages I have grouped camps into categories as follows:
Simple Camps: easily created dioramas needing little more than a few figures. While these are "easy" camps in one sense, they can still be beautiful little models.
Object Camps: camps built around a special or unique object that might be difficult to find. For example, my Trojan War camp built around a small tourist model of a Trojan Horse found in a shop near Troy, in Turkey.
Complex Camps: camps with greater creative complexity.
Other People's Camps: camps made by people who are not me.
There is also a discussion of Camp Scale.
One of the useful tools for playing Triumph! is a simple square base for measuring zone of control (ZOC). That sort of ZOCinator also gets some discussion.
Camps are fun modeling opportunities, allowing you to create dioramas. I made this page to share my enthusiasm for this creative process, and to encourage others in their own efforts. I hope you enjoy it.
