TA 2510 - FA 100 and later
In TA 2510 word came to the Éothéod, under its king Eorl the Young, of the desperate need of Gondor. Eorl took most of his horsemen to ride to aid Gondor against the Balchoth. As they rode south down the Anduin darkness emanated from Dol Guldur, forcing them to the west, but a golden mist responded from Lorien and they passed through it and arrived unexpected to win the battle of the Field of Celebrant. Eorl took the Oath of Eorl (Oath of Cirion) and was gifted the lands of Calenardhon, which become Rohan.
The people of Eorl migrated to Rohan, abandoning the Langflood region and their old capital Framsburg.
In TA 2800 Orcs fleeing from the Battle of Azanulbizar started to establish themselves in the White Mountains; Rohan fought them until finally destroying the last redoubt of Orcs in Rohan in 2864. By TA 2885 the Dunlendings were driven out of the West-march.
